Martineau Gardens is a well-established, highly respected charity and an urban community garden operating for over 25 years, providing local and wider communities with a safe and welcoming space enabling adults, young people and children to connect with each other, with nature and improve their wellbeing. It provides long-term social and therapeutic horticulture programmes for adults and young people with a wide range of support needs, free at the point of access, that facilitate measurably improved wellbeing and the development of transferable skills. The charity also offers high quality, affordable Environmental Education for school age children, and family activities using the natural landscape to encourage outdoor play, with its gardens and woodland managed along organic principles with biodiversity and sustainability.
