Carers Trust Tyne and Wear is an independent charity that aims to improve the lives of unpaid family carers of all ages. It offers services and support to enable carers to have a life of their own, and enables them to maintain their caring role. It works with young carers from age 5 -18 and adult carers up to any age, and also provides a home support service where its staff will take over the caring role while the carer has a break. It works with any health condition and social setting, and provides day centres on site and a small residential respite facility.
