Caring and Sharing Rochdale is a registered charity that provides practical support and empowerment for people from marginalised backgrounds, with a special focus on Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic Communities who grapple with the harsh realities of their backgrounds. Its mission is to provide them access to their basic needs such as food, clothing, and shelter, offer them a sense of community through our arts and creative projects, and help them address social issues like poverty (through skills acquisition projects), isolation, mental health problems, and immigration concerns. Established in 2017, the charity saw significant growth and demand for its work during the pandemic and has been instrumental in bringing the whole community of Rochdale together, demonstrating the rich diversity in the area and enabling cultural exchange and celebration.
