Groundwork North Wales improves the social, economic, environmental and cultural wellbeing of people across North Wales, focusing on disadvantaged communities where it can make the most difference. The natural environment is the golden thread running through its work. This includes programmes to improve the confidence, life skills and qualifications of disadvantaged young people; delivery of accredited training courses in health and safety and employability skills, education programmes focusing on the environment and heritage, green spaces projects to upskill and empower communities to improve their local environments, practical domestic energy-saving advice and support to people in/at risk of fuel poverty, repair and reuse of unwanted goods to reduce waste, and conservation of the natural environment.
