New Roots works with some of the most disadvantaged children and young people in Bassetlaw. Their needs are very complex and they have often experienced childhood trauma through poverty, abuse, neglect and rejection. This can lead to self harm, poor mental health, low self esteem, and emotional and behavioural dysregulation.
New Roots provides safe, secure and supportive environments that support young people to build confidence, self esteem and emotional resilience as well as develop their goals and aspirations for the future. This enables young people to believe they can achieve and transition effectively to adulthood and independence.
