Since 2010 St. Chad’s Sanctuary's aim has been to provide welcome, friendship & practical support for asylum seekers and refugees in the West Midlands, as it feels that they are some of the most neglected by wider society.
Asylum seekers & refugees contact the charity for clothing, food, toiletries, other practical items & English lessons. People can visit St Chad's Sanctuary for practical items every Monday, Wednesday & Friday. It has 5 staff, 50+ volunteers & numerous supporters who include schools, universities, individuals & religious organisations across the spectrum. It operates 5 days a week offering more than 10 English classes per week over 4 days with 4 days for distribution of practical items. It also works with other organisations to deliver advice & information sessions.
