The Boaz Trust was founded in 2004 to provide accommodation and support for people who have fled their home country and become homeless and destitute after receiving a decision on their asylum claim in the UK. Its work is based in Greater Manchester and each year it provides safe, stable accommodation alongside specialist 1:1 support for more than 100 people from around 25 different countries. As part of its support it provides access to wellbeing activities and opportunities and work closely with others to ensure vital access to legal advice and medical support. It also advocates and speaks out with and for those who have fled persecution and insecurity. It works in partnership with others locally, regionally and nationally to call for a compassionate and fair asylum system.
