Nottinghamshire Deaf Society seeks to empower deaf, deafened and hard of hearing people in order that they enjoy enriched lives.
NDS vision is of a society in which all deaf people can participate equally and so they support, inform, collaborate and challenge in all areas of life to meet that aim. NDS provides a range of services for deaf people and are also home to the Deaf community of Nottinghamshire, providing community facilities and giving support to different deaf led social and activity groups. Their services include British sign Language Interpreting, Welfare Rights Advice, training in British Sign Language and a volunteer befriending scheme.
