We are proud to announce that 112 Morgan Stanley graduate recruits, who have recently joined the Institutional Securities Group, will offer pro bono advice to six charities, in the largest giving back initiative in a day in our history.

In just one day, the Analysts will work in teams virtually to provide creative and innovative recommendations to help the selected charities overcome challenges and take up opportunities brought about by the Covid-19 pandemic.

The charities selected support a range of cause areas, including young people’s mental health, social isolation and raising levels of literacy.

The programme will give Morgan Stanley Analysts the opportunity to not only give back and learn about the social issues these charities tackle, but also develop their own skills.

The charities selected include: Doorstep Library, Home-Start East Sussex, One Westminster, Services for Independent Living, Stonewall and Waves for Change.

Katrina Hayes, Head of Campus Recruitment & Programme Management at Morgan Stanley said:

“Morgan Stanley is delighted to be partnering with Pilotlight to host a 'Pilotlight Impact Day' for our new full-time Institutional Securities Group Analyst class. At Morgan Stanley, giving back is a central part of our culture globally and a key component of the initial Analyst training programme. This volunteering initiative is an excellent opportunity for Analysts to put into practice their problem solving and teamwork skills whilst living out our core value and commitment to giving back to the communities where we live and work.”

Ed Mayo, CEO at Pilotlight commented:

“Pilotlight Impact Day is a ground-breaking festival of online social action, gathering talent on screen to support some extraordinary charities as they respond to the changing needs of their beneficiaries. The day will make a difference on urgent social challenges such as rising mental ill health, exacerbated by the pandemic. I look forward to seeing the results.”
