We are excited to announce that we are searching for a new Chair of our Board of Trustees. This pivotal role will help continue to build Pilotlight's ongoing mission to facilitate and promote the sharing of professional skills to help charities help people most effectively.
The ideal candidate will have a deep commitment to the not for profit sector and understand the potential that business has to bridge the skills gap between the sectors. The new Chair will work closely with our Board and CEO to drive Pilotlight’s vision, ensuring we continue to deliver of impactful, sustainable solutions for charities.
Pilotlight’s outgoing Chair and former CEO of the lifestyle brand White Stuff, Sally Bailey, who comes to the end of her six year tenure as Chair this year, remarked:
Serving as Chair of Pilotlight has been both a pleasure, and incredibly rewarding. I am immensely proud of what we have achieved for Pilotlight, not only for the charity’s strategy and operations, but also in the ever increasing number of charities we’ve helped. I am sad to be stepping down but am confident that the next Chair will continue to drive our mission forward with passion and dedication.
Chief Executive at Pilotlight, Ed Mayo said:
Sally has brought an immense energy to her role as Chair, and it has been a joy to work together. Along with our board and staff team, I’d like to thank her for her contribution to developing Pilotlight into the charity that you see today.
As our strategy suggests, Pilotlight wants to bring about a fundamental shift in the field of pro bono action, and truly realise the potential it has to be a catalyst for social change. I look forward to working on this with the new Chair.
